Restaurant Lungo Mare on Hvar island in Dalmatia, Croatia started with business in 2005. and very soon became one of the favourite Hvar restaurants.

Rich gastro offer, very nice and helpful staff and affordable prices put a smile on your face. Lungo Mare offers various Dalmatian dishes at their finest. Octopus in vine satto, Dalmatian Pasticada, meat especially prepared under the bell. Restaurant is at the seaside, so it is a great choice on a hot summer night on Hvar Island.

The founder and owner of the restaurant is Mr. Pero Hure, who was working in hospitality his whole life, and after 12 years spent abroad and in the Hotel Esplanade in Zagreb, where he learned everything he could, he came back to Havar. With his wife Ivana he opened a restaurant in their own house.

Mr. Pero Hure was pronounced the best chef of Hvar Island when he was only 18 and won a lot of culinary awards. He was also a presenter of Dalmatian cuisine on the 1984 Sarajevo winter olympics.
